The Edison Table meets ADA guidelines. The one-touch electric height-adjustment system allows students or employees with physical limitations to lift and lower the table to the perfect height without assistance.

Sometimes customers ask what the benefit is of an electric height-adjustment system. Once a table or desk is adjusted to the right height, why move it? They're right for the most part. But certain environments, like classrooms, training facilities, and particular offices where there are a lot of users using the table each day benefit the most from this feature because the height should, and will be, adjusted often.
VersaTables was founded over ten years ago on the basic principle of producing high-quality products at a great price.

I sit the vast majority of the time at my job. Some workstations have adjustable height desks which are highly sough after. Using one of these desk, and changing working positions through out the day reduces my level of fatigue and increases my focus. Given that I typically continue working at home, I purchased an Edison. Simply put, I love this desk. Ordering was easy. The desk arrived in the timeframe predicted by Versatable. I ordered the 72 in Edison which required 2 people to move into my upstairs apartment, but was packed in such a way that moving the varies boxes was not difficult (as long as multiple people are available.) Assembly was reasonably straight forward. It took 3 hours. The instructions are 8/10 for clarity. Some suggestions: -Assemble the desk on a soft surface. I placed blankets on my hardwood floors. The desk is assembled upside-down then flipped. -Read the manual before beginning and make sure your tools will work. -Inserting the floor casters into the frame (last step) can be (very) hard. The frame is powder coated and some of the threads can be coated. You may need a wrench to get the casters in place. -If you have questions, call Versa. I did have a problem with one of the actuator patch cords. It barely fit and was under tension. Called Versa and they sent me a new, longer cord. Thanks Versa! (Of note, it took 3 calls to speak with someone who could help. First call - message, 2nd call was part of an online chat - no one answered the phone which I clicked "call", the online chat person did not treat my concern seriously, and then disconnected me. Third call - outstanding customer service. Lesson: call and talk to someone.) The table is built like a tank. I would buy a second one. The table is an investment but one that should be considered if you spent a significant amount of time at a desk.
I recently purchased the Edison Electric Table. I did a lot of research when purchasing my Sit/Stand Desk. I narrowed down my choices between the GeekDesk and this one and I'm so glad I choose this one! I'm 6'1" so this one went a little higher (52") which helped because I purchased the add-on keyboard extender so the table needed to go even higher so the keyboard was at a more comfortable height and the monitor was at eye level which leads me to my next point. This desk has different types of add-ons, I purchased the keyboard extender and CPU holder which I used for my Battery Backup and Backup Hard drive. Another reason I choose this one was the color options, I picked all white, include the keyboard and CPU holder came white...plus it's a shiny white which looks pretty slick, everyone thinks it looks great. To top it all off, it has a lifetime warranty. The one thing I thought was going to be a negative was this one only had a Up/Down switch where the Geek Desk had 4 preset buttons and a digital display. However, I figured out I really don't need the preset buttons because it's so easy to determine the height as you are going up or down, besides you could put a mark on the wall or piece of tape to mark the heights but like I said it turns out I didn't need them. On to the fun stuff, the functionality. At first, my feet were killing me but I was standing all day from day 1, well maybe an hour a day I will sit when I feel a little sore. Now, I most of the time I don't feel a thing, my body is totally use to it. I use to sit at my son's baseball games and I stand there as well. Since I got the desk, I workout more, I feel more energized, and most importantly I feel more productive! Which was exactly why I got the desk because I'm a Software Engineer and I would sit all day long without moving and a good friend of mine recently died at the age of 46 from a blood clot. I'm not saying him sitting all day was the reason but it's a proven fact the sitting is bad for blood circulation. If it turns out that Standing only helps a fraction of what all the reports are saying then at least it's something. The table came well packed, the directions were pretty good, and when I did call for support they helped me right away. I give my full endorsement of this product and for this company. I couldn't be happier with my decision to purchase this Sit/Stand Desk. The quality of the desk is outstanding and I'm already feeling healthier.
After 20+ years in IT, sitting at a desk all day was taking its toll on my health. I started reading about the health effects of sitting most of the day and researched the various electric desks on the Internet. The Edison Electric Table had the right size option, color option and price point. I've had it for over a week now and could not be more pleased. It was easy to assemble, although it does take some time. I was able to do it by myself without assistance from my husband. I did find that I needed to take off the Control Box in order to have the room to secure the one Actuator (thus the order of installation was off slightly). But now that it is together, it is solid and works like a champ. The table top glides up and down very smoothly and stops just where you want it. I go back and forth between sitting and standing each day and find that I end the day with more energy than when sitting all day. Surprising to me, I've also start using more than just the two sitting and standing positions and find that I now adjust the height to specific activities. I'd recommend this to just about everyone (and already have raved about it to my work colleagues).
My job requires me to spend about 10 hours a day on the computer. Some days I couldn't sit still for more than a few minutes and if I did, my back and legs were stiff and sore... even a laptop and moving to different chairs didn’t help. Then a friend in England raved about his sit stand desk and I started shopping for one of my own. The desk is solid and well-made - and the cherry finish matches my other office furniture. I've had my desk for 2 weeks now and love it. I take it up and down several times a day – it’s so smooth that the glass of water on my desk doesn’t ripple when the desk moves.
I've been using the "Edison Electric Table" in the 48" x 30" size as a sit-to-stand desk at work for over a month now, and I couldn't be more satisfied. It adjusts low enough that I don't need to add a keyboard tray (one of my requirements that eliminated a less expensive option) and higher than I could possibly need, and it does it quickly enough and very precisely. It is also much more rigid and solid than I expected, and makes an excellent work space. My only complaint is that it took longer to come than was oringinally projected (but it was between Thanksgiving and Christmas) and it would be difficult for one person to assemble . . . but that is because is so heavily and ruggedly built. I am totally happy with my purchase.
I ordered the VersaTable Edison Electric Table because it seemed like a quality product while being reasonably priced. Shipment was quick, the parts arrived in perfect condition as it was very well packaged. Assembly was quite straightforward and I was really impressed with the engineering and the quality of the parts. The electric motor operates very smoothly. I am very pleased with my choice. I had some problems with the deluxe pivoting keyboard and this was resolved quickly and efficiently by VersaTable and I see that this problematic option is no longer offered for the Edison Table. I would highly recommend the Edison Table specifically and VersaTable generally.
New owner -- about 1 week. Quality -- actuators and desk is solid Ease of use -- simple and easy Enjoyment factor -- really helps to break up a long day at the computer -- feet sore at start, but they get better. Overall -- very happy with purchase and customer care.
I like that i can adjust this because depending on what I am working on sometimes it is easier to have a different perspective. i am glad I got this and when I called to ask a question about how to work it, they did not make me feel dumb. hahah
got this for my mother who is wheelchair bound. I like how she can operate it easily and get the desk snugly in place when she wants to work at a desk. She can adjust the height to her needs and based on whatever it is she is working on.Great buy.
For almost $800 I expected a little more. It's a basic table. Not that it isn't high quality, it is. And the electric adjustment system works well but if you're not going to adjust the desk multiple times per day, your better off getting just a basic desk with a pop pin adjusment system and save yourself about $500.
I originally bought this desk for my mother to use as a sewing desk and it could not be more perfect. She used it all the time. When I found out she was trying to move the sewing machine off of it so that she could also use it as a writing desk, I decided it was time to buy her a second one. We did. It's very easy for her to use and for the second one, we added wheels so she can push it around and use it in whichever room she wants. She loves it. This table makes her life easier which I'm grateful for.
The electric controls are placed right in the middle of the desk where I sit. If I am leaning on the desk, I sometimes hit the control and move the height inadvertently. The controls are not flush with the desk. I think they could be moved back slightly under the desk or off center and this wouldn't happen. I love my desk. It arrived in perfect condition. There were less expensive and more expensive desks but I chose your desk because it looks great, is made in America and has a lifetime guarantee.
I can't think of nothing to improve this product. It went up really well and my customer is very happy!!!
