Green Manufacturing

Versa Tables Green Manufacturing

Welcome to our vision for a healthier world! We at Versa Tables have always had a strong belief in doing our part to protect the environment, despite the additional short term expenses of time, money, and manpower. We believe that the long-term protection of our planets limited natural resources is more important than increasing our profit margins. Toward that end, our corporate strategy at Versa Tables has always been to produce quality American products at a fair price, while keeping our environmental impact to an absolute minimum. We focus our efforts on three primary categories for environmental conservation, paperless order processing, green manufacturing practices, and energy efficient facilities.

Paperless Processing:

Throughout every aspect of the Versa Tables order processing system, from online electronic order placement to our paperless efax system, the presence and necessity of paper printouts is kept to a bare minimum. We are actively engaged in ongoing projects to find the most efficient and environmentally friendly ways to reduce the use and necessity of wasteful byproducts.

Manufacturing Practices:

Versa Tables has gone to great expense to implement numerous “Green” manufacturing processes aimed at substantially reducing the production of air and water pollutants that are common among our competitors.

Our closed-circuit powered painting system, non-toxic laminates, and natural latex edging strips provide a few examples of our dedication to environmentally friendly manufacturing. In regards to the wood used in our products, we carefully consider specific practices associated with growing and harvesting trees such as providing stream buffers, protecting wildlife habitats and preventing soil erosion. Examples of the certifications and programs that our wood products are associated with include the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). As if that were not enough to show Versa Tables concern about the environment, we only use 100% recycled American steel for all of the frames and sheet metal components of our tables, desks, and carts.

Facilities:

Our third focus is on the daily energy consumption of our manufacturing and office facilities. At Versa Tables, we strive to use the latest environmentally friendly machines and techniques to reduce our energy use. Practices as simple as utilizing 95% natural light coverage instead of standard florescent lighting have decreased our electricity demands significantly.

Versa Tables Eco-Friendly Policy:

Versa Tables is dedicated to consistently researching and implementing new processes, practices and systems in an ongoing effort to find the most efficient and environmentally friendly means of producing the cleanest computer furniture available on the market today.
