Utility Carts – Attributing to Safety in the Workplace from Versatables.com
Utility carts are by far a safer way to move and transport heavy office equipment, than relying on human strength. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates the number of non-fatal workplace injuries/illnesses for 2004 at a staggering 4.4 million. A significant portion of these injuries are incurred by using improper technique while lifting objects heavier than 20 lbs. Utility carts, properly used, can reduce the number of injuries, saving valuable resources in injury claims and days missed.
