Everyone is talking about ergonomics these days! We all know that it’s a proven fact that office furniture and work related injuries go hand in hand. The type of office chair you use can not only make you more comfortable, it can also reduce neck, back and shoulder strain among other things.

Here’s some helpful tips on properly adjusting your office chair to get the most benefits. The height of your chair should allow your feet to rest completely flat on the floor. To relieve any pressure to the backs of your knees, you should be able to get four fingers between your knees and the edge of the chair seat.

Tilting you chair slightly downward is much better for keyboard work and the back should tilt to between and 90 and 120 degree angle. The back rest should of course be adjusted to fit your height and reduce lower back strain and the arm rests should be adjusted to fully support the arms.
