Bringing Art to the Table
Posted on Thursday 26 January 2006
A recent study by the National Endowment for the Arts suggests that students who are exposed to art in school are less likely to drop out, more likely to run for an elected student office, and more likely to excel in other subjects like math and science. So bringing art to the table and fighting to keep art programs like drawing and painting in the public schools is more important than you may have thought. Just like the Periodic Table of Elements is essential in any science classroom, the proper supplies such as the right art table, is paramount when furnishing an art class.
Art tables are designed with over-sized tilting work surfaces and coated with a stain-resistant laminate to keep them looking new. Additional computer platforms can be easily added to art tables, making them ideal for computer-animated art instruction in addition to traditional, free-hand instruction.
