Laptop Cart - Designed with Ergonomics in Mind
Posted on Tuesday 24 January 2006
Traditional computer desks just simply aren’t ergonomically inclined for laptop users. Designed to support PCs and a lowered keyboard tray or arm, a computer desk is wonderful for a computer, but lousy for a laptop. Hence, the laptop cart was born. Laptop carts were specifically created for laptops, lowering the entire platform to encourage proper body position of the user. Like a laptop, a laptop cart is small, compact, and light. They are easy to move because they’re equipped with fluid, steel casters, and light enough to be carried or transported in a car.
But the most important feature of the laptop cart is that it will prevent user fatigue and reduce the risk of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. From an employer standpoint, this can mean a significant amount of money saved in the reduction of worker sick days, disability claims, and lowered productivity.
