Laptop Tables for Conference Rooms
Posted on Tuesday 24 January 2006
Laptop tables are springing up in conference rooms all over the country. Why? Because the days of having colleagues squeeze around an oversized conference table are gone. Laptop carts, which can be moved easily around the room and reconfigured based on the number of users in the meeting, make for a much more conducive working atmosphere. Large, bulky tables force people to sit far apart and are not ergonomically designed for the human body to use a laptop.
Laptop tables are comfortable and functional, and allow those involved to take notes on their laptop as the meeting is in progress. Laptop carts do away with hand-written notes on paper. With a wireless connection, the participants can attend a meeting and see the agenda, minutes, and supporting documents on their own laptops without printing a single sheet of paper.
In addition, the inclusion of just one laptop cart in a conference room helps the user charged with taking meeting minutes. Use of a laptop instead of handwritten notes is much more likely to provide accurate minutes.
