Make Your Computer Monitor Ergonomically Comfortable

Posted on Friday 4 July 2008

With a monitor just sitting on your desk top, about the only adjustments that you can make is a slight change in the tilt. Monitors that are placed on the desk top can cause strain to the muscles and eyes.

To be ergonomically correct, the top of your monitor should be sitting 2-3″ above eye level. It should produce no glare, you should be an arms length away from it and your monitor and keyboard should line up directly in front of you.

All of these adjustments are easy with a table mount monitor arm. A monitor arm will give you a wide range of tilt positions and allow you to move the monitor closer or farther away.

The ability to tilt in such a wide degree will also allow you to remove most or even all of the glare from lights. The stable design will hold your monitor securely in place and all the adjustments can be made smoothly and easily.
