Reduce the risk of repetitive motion injury with our VersaTables Keyboard Drawer. Ergonomically designed by human factors engineers, the scratch-proof steel tray is available in two sizes: 20" x 14" or 24" x 14". With a clearance of 4.5" from the bottom of the table or desk top, it is thinner than most keyboard trays on the market while still allowing for enough space to protect a full-sized keyboard.

Maynard S., Accounting Department

When I first started at VersaTables, I was surprised by how they made the keyboard drawer glide so smoothly. The one I'd had at home was jerky and choppy and moved when it wasn't supposed to. One of the engineers told me it's half design, half construction. A flawless design is worthless if you use inferior materials to execute it and the world's best marterials can't fix a poor design. I think that could apply to a lot of things in life.

2 The drawer will no stay extended when typing

I copied and pasted this as I feel exactly the same way. "Like all Versa products, quality is exemplary. But this tray has one serious engineering oversight which drops its user rating. The tray does not stay in an "out" position when typing or moving the mouse. It freely moves in and out and makes the user try to coordinate pressure on the keyboard to keep it from disappearing. A simple ball with spring detent would hold the tray out. User with slight closing force could overcome the spring pressure easily. Gaming with this keyboard isn't practical because of the tray moving back and forth." With the drawer constantly moving back while I type is driving me crazy! Will I keep it...not sure. I'm trying all sorts of things to make it stay out and in place while I'm typing by placing heaving objects on the tray but nothing is working. I resorted to crossing my legs and holding the tray while I type with my leg...this is not practical!! Anyone have any ideas? Help!

5 Love-It!

I bought 2 of these items. They exceeded my expectations in quality and design. I read some reviews about their being no installation template, I found it easy to install and the hardware included was perfect for my application. I highly recommend the product.

5 Best Ever

The best keyboard tray ever. Heavy duty and very roomy, enough room for keyboard and mouse (24").

5 Very sturdy

My secretary has managed to break 2 previous keyboard trays. The first one was run of the mill and needed a soft touch. Not. The second was commercial quality, seemingly, but it too broke, fell off the tracks and cut her leg. This one seems far more sturdy than the previous two. Only gripe is that there was no template included in the box. I cut up the box, made my own template and the install was quick.

5 Happy with this purchase

There is no complaint here! I got this last week and it arrived right away with no problems and it looks good and make it way more comfortable to work on the computer than not having a tray for the keyboard.

5 Thanks

Thanks for getting this to me so fast! Great product, great buy, fair price and totally a fan of those perks---can't beat free shipping and free warranty!

3 too hard to put on

I just can't believe how much trouble I have attaching this to my desk. I like it and all but I just still haven't decided if it was worth all that blood, sweat and tears to get on!

Posted by on Jun 27, 2012

5 Great

I really like that it has extra room for placing the palms of my hands when I type---less stress on my arms and wrists than with the small trays I have been used too. Glad I made the upgrade.

5 Does the trick!

I love keyboard trays in general because it frees up the desk space I need to work from papers and books. The idea that I could just buy the tray and attach it to the desk of my choice never ever occured to me. Now I was able to get the exact desk thatI wanted and just spend a little extra to get this addition. I

5 I couldn't ask for better!

My keyboard drawer is very sturdy, functions perfectly, and was easy to install. I couldn't ask for better! Thank you very much!

4 great product at a fair price

Besides a few alignment issues that I had to fix, this is a great product at a fair price.

5 Nice product!

The only improvement would be to make to make the keyboad tray a little bigger so there is enough surface to add a clip board to write on it.

4 i was impressed with how fast you replied to my email

the sliding drawer is not as smooth as i would like. i was impressed with how fast you replied to my email and i tried cleaning and oiling the channels but it still is not perfect. it sticks sometimes. i wish that i could adjust the tilt separately from the height. Lastly if I tilt the tray my mouse falls off. Not a big issue I just had to get a mouse pad with a gel wrist rest.

5 Your product is a very rugged and good looking

There is a little too much left-right "play" in the horizontal pivot mechanism. But, otherwise, your product is a very rugged and good looking alternative to the cheap keyboard drawer that came with my Sauder desk and the two Fellows keyboard drawers I tried after that.

5 I am satisfied with the quality for the price

I am completely satisfied with the product. It is sturdy and durable, and a little more costly than the same product from your competitors. But, you get what you pay for, and I am satisfied with the quality for the price. I'm not sure what I would do to improve the keyboard drawer. It is great the way it is.

5 Overall a great product

Provide a bit more information for installing the accessories. Took some trial and error to install the monitor rails and the keyboard drawer. Overall a great product, the pictures in the catalog and on line do not do it justice.

4 Thanks for an American Made product

The assembly instructions show the mounting pads bent OUTWARD from sliding table. The mounting slides I received were bent INWARD towards the sliding table. Apparently the slides were rivited on the wrong side of the mounting bracket which makes them exceeding hard to mount as the tray is in the way. I suggest you have quality control to check this error for all the future ones you ship. :I corrected the problem by making larger tabs which i bolted to existing tabs and extended them out side the table area. This made drilling and mounting much more easily done. Thanks for an American Made product. We need more businesses to do the same. Don

I'm not sure why I am taking the time to respond to this request since my detailed response at the time of purchase was ignored. Your assembly instruction are unnecessarily difficult. A templet would help immensely. The drawer has NO locking indent to prevent its in-and-out movement at the slightest touch - something the cheapest Wal-Mart-available product, made in China, has. For a Made-in-USA product, I expect better. Call me if you would like to hear how VAST improvements to your drawer can be made EASILY! When asked, I will NOT recommend the present version of this drawer.

5 Product met and exceeded our expectations

Product met and exceeded our expectations so much better than any product we have ordered in the past from office supply stores locally.

Posted by on Jun 10, 2011

have a template which could be made out of paper to show where the nail holes would go.one could tape the template in the desired position drill to start the screws through the template then it would be much EASIER to install.try holding your product up in it's position by yourself to line up the holes.just a suggestion of course but the cost of something like this would be well worth it for the consumer.

4 I'm well pleased with the construction and quality.

I would have liked to see a detente or friction lock to help keep the drawer in the extended position. The drawer has a tendency to move back when typing or using a mouse in the drawer. Otherwise, I'm well pleased with the construction and quality.

4 Better information would have made my experience "perfect."

From the online information, I was led to believe that I would receive a 17" track, perfect for my application. What arrived was a 16" track, forcing me to weld 1" of flat stock to the track. Better information would have made my experience "perfect."

1 fix things as suggested

The information about how to REMOVE the drawer from its slides is NON-EXISTANT! I had to call Tech Support, and even then communication was a hassle. I note as to how to effect removal would not hurt. AND. FYI, incredible to believe, it IS possible to insert the drawer into its slides UP-SIDE-DOWN. Why no caveat? The instructions to install the drawer and slides could not be worse. Have you tried to install the assembly as instructed? I opted to remove the drawer from its slides before installing the slides separately. I then measured the inter-hole distances carefully, and STILL was off by about 1/8". Yes, I know, my fault, but for $1.00 more, a tape-up templet - particularly nice for working up-side-down, lying on one's back (Beats turning the table up-side-down.) - the inter-holes' spacing issues would vanish and the difficulty of juggling a drawer and slides with minds of their own while drilling holes and installing screws would not occur. Again, I can't believe you recommend installing the system all put together as you currently do. Finally, and perhaps the unkindest cut of all, there is NO POSITIVE DETENT at the farthest extension of the drawer to hold the drawer from retreating under the desk/table with the slightest unintended nudge. Even the cheap, China produced, sold at Walmart and Office Max, assemble it yourself, desks with keyboard drawers have this feature. So, why can't a Made in USA (and presumably designed there by smart people) and otherwise an excellent product sport the same amenity?! I expect an answer, and when you implement my suggestions, and you had better do so to live up to your reputation that is on the verge of foundering with this particular product, I will expect a new drawer WITH a stabilizing-end-of-drawer-travel detent, just like every one else has for less money. Positive note: I LIKE Made in America and free shipping; thank you for those efforts. Comment, please? Do you plan to post this? You should - and then fix things as suggested. Gerald

5 Thank you for an American quality product!

I love them. I have a laptop table purchased from you about a year or so ago. Was updating it with a printer platformand keyboard drawer (to be used for mousepad and storage, not keyboard). I did receive the drawer in damaged condition; the drawer slides on one drawer were out, and I couldn't replace the bearings myself. Spoke with Michael by phone, sent him digital pics. of the problem. He promptly checked with engineers to see if I could fix myself. When it was not possible, he immediately sent replacement. Thank you for an American quality product!. JJW

5 A first-class product

Not only did the installer rave over the quality of the keyboard drawer but also the quality of the screws! A first-class product.

4 The keyboard drawer is everything it should be

The keyboard drawer is everything it should be, but the instructions should include a template for drilling the screw holes

5 Made in USA is a HUGE selling point to me

I would maybe pad the wrist shelf. Really I think its excellent with no need for improvement. And Made in USA is a HUGE selling point to me. Thanks

It would be nice if the keyboard tray had a place for the mouse as well. Maybe a retractable piece on the side.

2 I was bombarded at work with people complaining

Installation instructions did not come in the box. We had to pull them from the internet. We ordered 7 and received 8 - have one extra.....not sure what we will do with it. Wanted to have a 'rush' order - customer service talked me out of overnight shipment because cost was too high - told me he would put a "rush" on it - which meant nothing really, still took over a week to get here and we needed the items sooner. I was bombarded at work with people complaining.

2 I have a few issues with delivery

I have a few issues with delivery. I was told on a number of times that they were going to be shipped that day when I called to check on the delivery. I would call back in a few days and be told the same time. I was under a major time churn and never been told when the product was shipping was stressful.

Posted by on Aug 10, 2009

I honestly thought the tray would be wider than it is. I measured the tray surface, you measured the tray plus slider. It really could be an inch or two wider to comfortably fit the keyboard and have enough space for the mouse.

Posted by on Aug 4, 2009

4 It is an excellent product

My only complaint is that Versa was slow in shipping this keyboard drawer. It is an excellent product.

Posted by on Jul 16, 2009

4 overall ok

Only thing. I would like it to hide completely under the desk. I had to rigue an extension to slide the board deeper into the desk. overall ok.

5 Over all, I'd recommend Versa in a heart beat

HI, I'm actually close to "very satisfied", but not quite. An assembly arm for the draw was sent without rivets, an honest mistake. When I brought it to the attention of someone at Versa it was corrected at once and 2 days later I had a replacement. I have two rather small companies, we make mistakes also. It's a question of what's done when a mistake is pointed out. Versa stepped up. ----- On another note your installation/assembly instructions were OK, just OK. We build large custom homes and my guys could be heard grumbling when installing the keyboard drawer. We're still not quite sure we have it exactly correct. They suggest adding a dvd showing smoother installation. The cost factor is negligible. ------ Over all, I'd recommend Versa in a heart beat. Thanks, Anthony

Posted by on Jun 15, 2009

The standard keyboard arm length is relatively short in comparison to the depth of the monitor mount. You stand mere inches away from the screen when typing. We had to drop the monitor some and angle it upwards.

Posted by on Feb 12, 2009

5 Does exactly what I want

Does exactly what I want -- already my aching shoulder is feeling better because my arm is at the right height and angle. Many thanks.

The delivery company Conway did a very poor job! The driver was rude and un-professional. I would rec. not using Conway.
