This is the perfect computer desk. It's sturdy, well built and very well designed. It was easy to assemble with great instructions. Better than anything sold by those office "superstores". It's American made and it shows. Fast delivery and nicely packed with minimal packing materials so it's "green" too.
I am so dissatisfied with this product. It seems to be of quality material, and assembly was a breeze. But adjusting this desk is like having my teeth pulled. Except it took longer and hurt more. I have a 30 X 60 adjustable table, so I figured it would be a little difficult to adjust the height. So, I made sure to request help from someone. I not only needed my uncle, but two other men to adjust my table. Two to pull the frame up, and two to hold out the pull. And even then it took over an hour to get it adjusted. Not only that, after adjusting up a foot, it's still not tall enough to be used as a standing desk. I still will need to go get something to put the monitors and keyboard/mouse on. I'm 5'4 and it's still not tall enough. I am extremely unhappy with this purchase... but really would prefer not to spend even more time and money to break it down and ship it back.
This is a perfect desk for student work stations as they are compact but spacious to work on at the same time. I love how classy the wood finish options are---we opted for cherry and the desk are just beautiful.
I like the desk but I would have liked the pole that the screen attaches to to be better in some ways but besides that the desk it good.
I really like the height adjustment option on this deks that other desks dont have and that is why I got this one. So because i have shoulder pain, I don't have to reach to work like before
I love that this can be adjusted for whoever sits at it so that it's a nice touch at the office. I have seen people really get a kick out of using it.
I really like that the desk is height adjustable...usually it's just the chair that you have control over. I thought it was an interesting idea and that I'd give it a try. I always thought that if I could adjust the height of my desk AND chair, that I would be able to alleviate my lower back strain by finding just the right angle to work from. It seems to have helped! Only negative is that I wish it were a little easier to adjust.
I ordered a 30x30 table and could not get the 28" keyboard tray beause it supposedly would not fit (according to VersaTable). In fact, I believe the Keyboard tray would have fit because it can be adjusted to hang below the sidebar supports of the table. I would have preferred having the larger keyboard tray for our application. Otherwise, I think the table is a great solution for UConn Health Center's flow cytometry core facility.
I would definitely suggest increasing the height of the monitor stability bar by 4 to 5 inches (connected to the table - you may call it something else). The reason is i use my laptop (as most do) exclusively and therefore if you raise it 4 or 5 inches, I can then view the entirety of the monitor screens without the laptop screen interfering. I use a Dell, standard size with a cooling pad underneath (cooling pads almost required anymore as "heat" build up messes with the technology that allows for multi-monitor displays). Because they are just a little too low my laptop screen is always in the way of the bottom of one screen and thus reduces the visual area, which is basically the purpose of multi-monitor display setups.
I love this table! My only problem is that I am an older woman and the table is so well built and sturdy and heavy that I need someone to help me change the angle. It would be nice if it were just a little easier to adjust. This is a wonderful product! I could not believe how well built it was. It was way more than I expected! Something of this quality should have cost two or three times the amount you charged! Thank you so much for producing such a well made product at such a bargin price! It restores ones faith in the future of this country and our ability to compete in the market place.
The desk is about 4-6 inches short at it's highest standing setting with the leveling feet fulling extended. Luckily we had some 4" desk risers laying around the office. I'm 6'1" which isn't THAT tall. My standing desk at home that I built sits right at my belly button (ideal height) at around 46"-47". As is stands the desk with risers is still only about 40". Perhaps an option for us +6' people with longer legs or desk height adjusters (whatever would be economic for you to make) would be prime! Other than that this desk is supreme. I did the set up by myself and had it adjusted set and ready to work on in less than 30 mins. Maybe even 20 mins or so. I was incredible how simple it was. Thank you for a great product.
I'd like to have a "deeper" desk as I'd prefer to have my monitors a little further away.
You say in your instructions not to tighten the screws until the very end. I realized after a while that this advice made it easier to line up screw holes so you could get the screws in. It was still very difficult to line up some screw holes. With one of them I did not succeed, because there was not sufficient play, even with loose screws. That is the only draw-back. Otherwise complete satisfaction. You get what you pay for.
It would have been helpful to have instructions included. (I only received instructions with the keyboard arm. Also, my deluxe keyboard arm does not allow me to put on the front cross support, as directed by the instructions. The rear cross support is too close to thread on the Deluxe Monitor support, which made it really difficult to attach. I also received the wrong CPU holder (grey). Ricky Vargas was very responsive and is sending a new black one. I hope it has instructions--I couldn't see how to attach the holder. Overall, I do like the products, but have had a few frustrations in the assembly.
Attaching the table top to the frame was difficult. As it was the last step in the directions, it required being under the table and was nearly impossible to aim the bolts properly. It ultimately required turning the table upside down and working it that way. The instructions at that step could be more helpful. Love the table, though, and it is exactly what I needed to hold a 125 lb. printer.
These desks are called height adjustable, but what most students, and many in the workforce need are a reasonably priced sit-to-stand workstation. This desk only tops out at 36", not nearly high enough for a standing workstation.
The only issue was the hex wrench included. It was hard to use because it fit so tightly into the bolts it was hard to get into the holes.
The table is excellent and I was able to put it together without using any tools at all until I was ready to tighten the bolts. The adjustable height was a bit of a trail for one person alone. The chair, however, was a nightmare. I sure wish the Chinese had thought to add sleeves for the bolts. I still haven't been able to figure out how to make the chair tiltable, and the "lumbar support" is more of a torture device than a "support".
Installation was a bit of a hassle. The kickboard's four holes for screws DO NOT line up with the holes on table. I could only attach it using the top holes. Measurements for CPU cases are not clear. CPUs did not fit as they could not clear the door of the CPU case even though I measured based on online specs.
I notice when installing the top there were no screws to be installed in the middle of the bars that hold the table top on. this is not too much of a problem when there is weight on it but when there wasnt weight on it and i put my arm down i heard a clunk from the table top hitting the frame. i would say to add screws in the center so this does not happen. rather than that i have to say you people make an excellent product. i love the adjustability in the height of the table since i am 6'4" tall and have trouble finding tables with enough leg clearance.
The only issue I see is the pull out keyboard was a little rough and I had to put some grease on the plastic bearing....I think real ball bearings would have been better...
you have product far superior to anything i could find in stores, at a fair price, however installation instructions were unclear.
I would like see products with various shapes, for example a tables that is "L" shaped and with crank for easy height adjustment.
Adjusting the height of the tables is fairly difficult. Otherwise, very sturdy, no issues. Will buy more if we grow.. Thanks!
The table lacks stability. I am using it as a standup computer work station and when typing the table wobbles. I also have a small printer mounted on the table and when it is printing, the computer monitor wobbles so much that I cannot read the screen until the printer operation is complete.
I Just received a repalcement top for my original table which was damaged in shipment. Unfortunately the replacement was also damaged in shipment. I will just use the one that is least damaged. I would suggest stronger packaing to protect the table top. My firsty one had a crushed edge. The replacement had a small gouge in the middle of the table top and a chip out of the top near a corner. I do love the quality of the product. Well built and suits my home office needs perfectly. Thanks, Allen
This product is excellent. It took no time to assemble. and the quality is excellent. The CPU holder does not really fit a Mac Pro, as depicted on the web and instructions, it is a bit too short. The Mac Pro is a large computer, so I do not think it is a 'problem' as most PC's would fit. Just need to add a board to the bottom to extend the seat out 6". I am looking forward to the next few desks.
I think Versa should have a reseller program because he said they are beautiful tables and he can sell them to a lot more customers if we had a program.
