I have a really small area for an "office" at home so this desk has been so worth the price. I have room for everything in one place and I can access everything at once. It's like a desk/workstaion and shelf all in one. The wheels are also really useful because I can slide it out fot he way when I sweep and mop the floors...and for when I drop things that slide under too. haha.
I've had this desk for about 5 years now and I love it! I use it in my home office with the additional CPU holder accessory underneath and my printer on the top shelf. It gives me plenty of room to work and it's very easy to keep clean. The best part is the wheels! This thing is super heavy and when we moved, it was so helpful to have wheels on it and the size was good so we didn't have to dismantle it to get it in the door (also nice because I had to do that with my last desk and it was a pain)! The only drawback is that it's not the most attractive looking desk in the world-- it's very utilitarian looking but no one really comes to my home office anyway and the space-saving features make it worth it. I see some people have mentioned the directions weren't good. It's been a while since we put it together (my husband did actually) and I don't remember him having any trouble with it. Once you do put it together though, you probably don't want to take it apart. Again, it's really sturdy and heavy.
Only thing I would improve is better cleaer instructions of which way table tops face when asembling.
You sould add some LED light bars and light reflecting cover material to the bottom of the lower rack to light up the main desk surface, and some electrical outlets on the top of the vertical frame for peripheral hardware .
some of the parts were slightly damaged in transit. Perhaps beef up the packaging to minimize the damage. Also have the keyboard mount available to be installed on the main shelf. thanks Chris
Offer better power and lighting options with flexibility of placement. If you email me back I will send pictures. I love this workbench table as it helps me very much to have everything at my reach..
Parts were missing. Confusion if they were ordered. Was told by your installer they were ordered and would be overnighted. Told they would arrive Thursday. (Customers Service said he had no record of order so he placed another order). Told they would arrive on Friday. So far.....no parts!
Definitely some of the best space saving furniture I've ever ordered/seen. Will be looking at Versatable products first for future needs. Thanks
The VersTable web site stated shipments within a week. After 2 weeks and several e-mails I had to call to get a status. If VersTable could send out a ship schedule after the order, it would better set customers expectations with regards to delivery. Installation experience was not good. We had 10 boxes delivered on a pallet. After opening up the first 6 boxes, we were in a state of confusion in that we didn't know how to assemble the system. It was not until we got to the "largest" box, at the bottom of the pallet, that specified "open first" instructions inside. Need to better identify this box or put the instructions in more than one box. Assembly instruction would be very beneficials, e.g., step one attach a to b, step 2 attach c to d,etc.
The assembly of the lan racks was straightforward, but I feel the bolts specified in step 6 need to be a 1/4" longer. With the 2" bolts I cannot install a flat washer on both sides of the support bracket and cross beam.
