What great idea. I got one and have been happy with my decision ever since. There was a mix up with the delivery but all in all, it was an easily solved problem and I have been fine since.
I really wish it was eaier to get this thing on. I would have given it 5 stars if it was. I just feel like things like this should come already as part of the desk if it is tricky to add. But it is really great once you get it going for sure.
This is the easiest way to keep my lapto safe from my toddler aged kid...out of sight and mind and secure in a place that makes sense. It's right on hand when I do get a chance to sit and work and I don't have to remember what shelf I put it on top pf or closet i hid it in when my girl is getting into everything.
This is such a great product. I can store my laptop safely and charge it all out of sight and out of my way. It allows me to keep my work space clear and still gives me quick and easy access to my laptop when I need it. You do have to install it yourself but it's really not a big deal at all. I am very pleased with this item.
I have to ask what the point is of having this. Most of us take our laptops with us home from work so we don't need to lock them up in our desks. And are you really going to use it while it's on the tray with your chair all the way back like that? This is just another thing they try to sell you so that you'll spend more money.
I bought a revolving laptop desk and have only used the revolving panel feature one time. I ended up buying this and installing it. It's a way better way to go. This feature is terrific. It allows you to quickly use and store your laptop, AND charge it without having to clip it in and unclip it every time you want to go somewhere. I highly recommend that instead of getting a laptop desk, you just add this to a regular desk and save yourself some cash!
Excellent product. Great way to secure your laptop at an office or even at home to prevent theft or use by others. The drawer glides smoothly, I found it very easy to install (note that I installed it under a wood surface though-- anything else might be tough or even impossible) and it actually creates more desk space so I don't have to move everything off my desk when I want to use my laptop. I highly recommend this for people who use their laptops a lot or store sensitive information on them.
Two things come to mind when I decided to write a review of this product. The first thing is that laptops are easily stolen whether at work or home or at a public place. Because this drawer locks, it prevents theft when not in use and also serves as a visual deterrent because the laptop is not just out in the open sitting on a desk or table. When it's on the drawer, the knobs keep it in place which also means a thief would have to take time to unscrew the laptop and steal it. This is the second deterrent. There are certainly easier laptops to steal without putting in as much effort. Second, this allows users to keep their work areas clean and tidy and keep the space on top of the table or desk top for papers, books, a writing surface. I use one both at home and at my office and now I don't worry so much about my laptop going missing.
because it saves spaces, is super solid, and it was very easy to mount. On top of all that, it makes the laptop easy to store and charge without having cables running all over your desk or having to move stuff around every time you want to use your laptop. It works great and is terrific for small spaces.
I have roommates and wanted to be able to lock up my laptop b/c we share a desk. This does allow me to do that but there are a few things I don't like about the design. First, you have to unplug the laptop to lock it away which means it can't be charging while you're gone. I would have preferred to just put it to sleep and let it charge. Second, to use the laptop, you have to sit pretty far back away from the desk which, if you're trying to write or read a book that's on the desk at the same time, you have to keep pushing your chair in. It's fine if you're not really using anything on the desk, but for school, most of the time I am. As far as the construction of it goes, it's high quality. It's just the design I think they could come up with something better. Hope this helps others decide if they want this or not.
You need to update instruction manual for laptop drawer.
