5 Stubbornly Stable

My fiancee and I split the cost of a 6' Versa Center, so we could each have a roomy workspace while still keep work organized all in one station. I saw some earlier reviews complain about side-to-side stability. I don't know if this was true when they ordered theirs, but ours came with some "lateral stability clamps". They're kind of a pain to attach, because they screw directly into the wood, rather than into pre-arranged sockets. However, once attached, the Versa Center is completely unyielding. The one downside is that the additional accessories we purchased don't work quite the way we expected. We got the Deluxe Keyboard Arm And Tray, and it doesn't actually mount flush with the front of the work surface. Because the 6' model is so hefty, it has a cross bar support in front, and the track has to mount behind it. This makes it a bit less versatile for ergonomic positioning, but they still work perfectly well. All in all, I recommend Versa Center for both sitting and standing configurations to anyone who wants a durable desk.

5 perfect for the home/office

Not only is the table well-constructed and easy to assemble, it can be easily arranged to move around, room to room. That's what I do in my home office. One of the best invests I've made in my home office setup.

4 Just some thoughts...

Here are my thoughts about the Versa Center desk, in no particular order: - Desk is shaky side-to-side. Overall, It feels pretty sturdy, but they should add another support to prevent this shaky issue. - Included CPU holder is very weak. Maybe it's great for a small office computer, but if you have a heavy gaming rig like I do it's better to just set it on the lower/smaller shelf. - Adjusting the height for the first time is probably okay, but it can be a pain to adjust later on. I wish they would have used a hinge on one side of the clamp so you only have to tighten the other with a bolt. As it is now, it can be quite tricky to make sure both sides of the clamp are even, otherwise you're going to have a hard time screwing in the second bolt. Other than those few annoyances, it's a nice table and looks great.

5 Versa Center - VC Series

This is a first for our company. We have been used to the standard large desks - one height, one size fits all - or not! Had a request from someone who suffers with back problems on an ongoing basis - sometimes mild, sometimes severe. Thought back to previous places I had worked and immediately thought of the standing, height adjustable desk. We've ordered the Versa Center and I can't tell you how much relief this has brought to one very satisfied customer. Good quality, easy to put together and easy on the eye as well L.Simpson, Rage Frameworks

5 Love this desk!

I LOVE this desk and having all the space and levels and that I can buy the different add ons and shelves so I really can design my own desk to make it work the best for me. I love that!

5 Personalize it!

I love how I can personalize this desk to suit my needs and the space I have..I can decide what goes where and it really makes it easy. I wonder why more desks aren't like this.

5 Awesome desk

I can't believe I didn't buy something like this sooner! For the same money, I has a plain old desk from Office depot. But this one is so much more worth it.I looovvveee that you can adjust all the levels to suit your needs and the room. It is so convenient that I just love sitting down to work at home now. I have room for all the compter stuff and it is our of my way. So worth it.

1 lacking in quality & poor identification of what is provided

my company obtained three tables upon receipt there was no identification as to what was associated with what, contacted customer service and their only response was that I would have open all of the boxes and figure it out. Upon assembly I find that the hardware provided to mount the Monitor Rack Rail can not be screwed flush due to interference with the weld on the Monitor Rack Rail. the instructions for the mounting of the Montitor Arm Assembly to the Monitor Rail Assemble does not tell you about a plastic insert that should be installed but yet the picture in the instructions shows something and the parts list does not list this part so unless you notice the peices in the unmarked packages you would not know that you should install and avoid straching the paint of the rail.

5 Excellent table

Just a really sturdy and easy to assemble piece of equipment right here. Also a note on customer service: Something that I ordered did not arrive (which I'm pretty sure was the fault of the shipping company, anyway), and when I called Versa about it, they overnighted the missing item to me totally free of charge. Great job, guys.

5 Excellent adjustable computer table at bargain price

Just set up my new Versa Center Adjustable Table for a much improved home-office computer center, and I'm very pleased with the quality, structure, appearance, and quick delivery. Also not difficult to assemble, and I'm no handy man. This is an excellent buy, worth twice the money charged for the full size version when compared with what else is out there. I easily have room for 4 large screens in parallel and can adjust for a standing or high-stool working position. Highly recommended. Shop around a bit and you'll find the competition is twice the price.

5 This is my sixth versacenter!

I never write these things but I figured since I'm buying my sixth versacenter, I should probably give something back to the company. I got my first one about three years ago, love it, and have purchased five since. Different sizes make them perfect for different uses and I've also bought additional platforms that I move around from center to center as needed. High quality construction is probably the reason I keep coming back.

5 i love my desk!

l love my desk. what i could see as an improvement would relate to how i set mine up. i have it as a high standing desk with the shelf above it. with the shelf as high as it would go, in order to fit my computer monitor, the desk part can only go to a certain height and when i am standing in order to view the monitor comfortably i have to take off my shoes (i am only 5'4"). so my suggestion would be to allow for the side support rails to be a few inches longer so the top shelf could be higher and thus the desk higher too. thanks so much. i love my desk!

5 it is a great product

I wouldn't change a thing. Not yet anyway I haven't fully tested it. Its stationary for me so it doesn't move much....but it is a great product. thanks again.

5 All in all very good product.

Taller Poles With all in one printer and keyboard tray and 27 inch monitor - not quite enough space from desktop to top shelf to put monitor up off work space - as I was expecting. Love the flexibility and have changed around as I work at the work station - the speaker shelves didn't work for my speakers - not quite large enough - and I didn't need the computer brackets - another table would have been better for use with laptop. All in all very good product.

I have no changes to suggestto the product. If I wanted the product earlier, there was not option to pay for that convenience.

5 Wouldn't change a thing about your product.

Wouldn't change a thing about your product. Sturdy American construction (and assembly), durability, and the sleek black design make it a permanent fixture in my studio sure to be passed down for many generations to come.

5 i am very pleased with my purchase and being able to sit or stand

it is a bit wobbly. I am unable to have the printer on the shelf due to the wobblyness. also, i would love the shelf to be a bit higher. thank you so much ... i am very pleased with my purchase and being able to sit or stand, i do not feel like a slug at the end of the day!

4 I really like the customizability of this desk.

I use the desk as a standing desk, but it's still a bit too low for me when adjusted all the way up. I'd like to be able to add a couple inches at the feet or something. Also, at that height it's very wobbly, I'd like to be able to buy some cables that fit on the uprights and tighten (in an X) to add stability. Basically, I'd just like to see more types of accessories, other than that, great job, I really like the customizability of this desk.

5 Overall though it has been a great desk

We ordered two computer monitor arms because we were told there would not be a hole cut on the desk in the center (to have one arm that held two monitors) after we purchased it though and opened it up it did have a center arm, but we had already bought the two separate arms and had to just go on and use those. Not too big of a deal, but i think we spent a little more money that way and it might have been misrepresented on the photos on the website? Overall though it has been a great desk to sit at while doing graphic design work 40 hrs/week. You might want to consider making a keyboard arm that will fit the size of several of the Wacom pads that most designers use (pen pads that work as a mouse)..? Thank you

5 I love these tables!

I love these tables! I have back and neck problems and your tables make it possible for me to adapt. But I also live in a former architect's house, and my family loves these tables because they can be made to fit anywhere. And finally, they can grow as my children. Great products. Three suggestions: Perhaps the CPU holder could be optional, I'd find it helpful if all casters were locking, and is it possible to get the head support extension for your harmony chairs?

Posted by on Aug 7, 2011

5 Overall though, I'm happy with the product.

The two biggest problem I had with my versa table; was the keyboard supporting board and the monitor holding beam. On the website; the image depicts a keyboard and mouse on the keyboard support; but in reality it was only large enough for the keyboard. Now that I have the actual desk; I wish there way to move my monitor holding bar back. Even with the keyboard extension, they're really too close for comfort. I would like to find a way to move them further back. Overall though, I'm happy with the product. Hope this helps and if there are any solutions, please let me know

5 very nice product that has met every expectation.

Lateral stability could be improved. I have the unit configured for standing, and I definitely notice that the desk moves side to side. I have considered adding tensioned cables that run diagonally from the underside of the desk to the base of the unit. Otherwise, a very nice product that has met every expectation.

5 Thank you for a great product with easy assembly

Replace the unfinished wingnut bolt provided with the printer and utility platforms with a black allen bolt for a cleaner appearance. If there is any chance that I could get 4 of those bolts it would be appreciated. I will most likely be ordering one of the modesty panels after I get back from a short vacation for cable management. I would like to send you a photo of my completed desk if you would like one. Thank you for a great product with easy assembly.

I am a little saddened that I cannot fit the mouse on my adjustable keyboard tray without moving the keyboard so its falling off. I would like an extra peice or more added lenght to the tray so it would fit. As I have to readch over the desk and its not helping my arm to use the mouse. Other then that I really am impressed with the product.

It would be great if one could adjust the shelves and surfaces without scratching the paint on the metal frame. Please let me know if you have any suggestion or a paint kit that can fix the scratches. Also the screws for the monitor bar mount are confusing (short or long screws)????

4 your desk is much higher quality

I've paired your product with the treaddesk. It's great, your desk is much higher quality and better price than what tread desk offers to go with their treads. The only problem is that while the desk is adjusted to be a standing desk, it's moderately wobbly. I've also got a monitor arm holding a pair of 21" screens, so my setup is a bit top-heavy. I wish I could buy extra cross-braces to make it stiffer. A pair of cross braces that ran diagonally, or cables to tighten things up in triangles to make everything really strong would be perfect.

5 delighted at how solid it is without that industrial look

Firstly, I love the desk. I was delighted at how solid it is without that industrial look. But I love the fact that I can adjust it to MY HEIGHT!! In just a week of working at it I have noticed a definite improvement in my back and shoulders because the desk right for me. I can't tell you how many places I tried to find a desk and all of them were no less than 30" high! Who are the Amazons sitting these desks??? The one improvement I am suggesting, however, has to do with shipping. The box containing the framework of the desk was in shambles by the time I received it. It had been so abused in transport that the heavy duty staples you use had burst open! It was obvious that the box had been dropped more than once. Fortunately, you had sealed everything inside well and reinforced it with styrofoam. I would suggest that you wrap the sealed and stapled box with those heavy plastic straps. (I've no idea what they industry term for them is, but they're usually bright yellow.) I think those would have prevented the box from bursting open no matter how many times it was dropped. Other than that, I am THRILLED!!!

The holes on the bottom of the table top failed to match up to one of the crossbar bolt holes. I believe the crossbar was not 'plumb' (if you will)- seemed slightly bent. Top stable enough with three bolts tightened.

5 product quality is very good. Nice packaging!

Hi, I've been meaning to do this for a while. First, the product quality is very good. Nice packaging! Like the look and feel of the components. What I did not like! - This is and isn't your problem but UPS freight would not ship to my home and I had to go out on a rainy day to the middle of nowhere with a friend's truck to physically pick-up the table. My apt would not allow the 42' truck into the complex. That isn't your problem but shipping via freight when all they use is 42' trailers kind of is because a lot of people whether it be apt or small home cannot accomodate that size of a truck. -I purchased the 72" table. It WOBBLES! I love everything else about it...I really do but the wobble is REALLY my ONLY COMPLAINT! Despite the shipping and what not, the assembly was ok (the directions to me where not very straight forward and I'm not a dumb guy so a dumb redneck might have some trouble!). Back to the wobble....I might need to call you about some extra support beam or brace or something because this is too high quality of a product to wobble like it does. I think the problem is that it is too long for only 2 supports for the table and one brace at the bottom. Please let me know if you have found a solution. I can't believe "I'm the only one who has complained of this." I put it all together, DID NOT have any extra pieces....feel like I tightened everything pretty good. There was no disclaimer that it might wobble so please....let me know if something can be done. Thanks, - Patrick

2 get better workman ship

get better workman ship, one wheel had slag in the trheads my maintenace staff had to rethread it and then the top didn't line up because the built in nut wouldn't let the hole line up so they had to cut out and make room for them to alow the top to slide forward so they would line up.

4 I imagined the lower shelf being larger

I had a laptop stand that I tried to use as a stand-up desk at work. In a perfect world I imagined the lower shelf being larger, to accommodate a keyboard I could connect to the laptop (I was trying for a back/neck friendly configuration), and a top shelf that could raise even higher so the laptop could be at eye level. I don't know how universal a need that is though...

Posted by on Nov 14, 2010

I had to install the shelf while the brackets were separate from the shelf. Having a paper template with the screw hole locations would have been a big help.

4 Overall the versa center is really nice and functional

Overall the versa center is really nice and functional - I ordered a second one after using the first for a while. My only complaint is that the monitor rail puts the monitor a bit too far forward. It would be helpful to have the rail set back 3-4" or to have the position adjustable.

Posted by on Sep 13, 2010

Make the online product closer to brick and mortar. IE. Bought the bar to hang monitors on, its not at good hanging monitors you lose work space and bring montors closer to your seat. So I will pitch it in the garbage along with brackets. Side tables, each had one stripped out female bolt hole. No instructions for hanging keyboard. No holes drilled to hang keyboard centered. I thought I ordered a "dark" finish. I received a lighter color desk than I anticipated. No instructions or hangning monitor bar or configurations. The "computer holder/hanger" while it works, it's a bit flimsy, but it could just be my PC is heavy. Also my PC is vented and faned at the top of the case, so I must leave the top bracket 4" or so above PC for vents to function.

4 I would like this table to be a little less shaky

If it were possible, I would like this table to be a little less shaky at the taller settings, which is what I purchased it for. Realistically, you have done a made a decent compromise.

The monitor mount accessory puts the monitor too far forward. It would be nice if the monitor were recessed. Also, it would be nice if the keyboard accessory had room for a mouse.

4 I wish VersaTables continued success

So generally I love my new VersaCenter 60" I got it with black powder-coat and a maple finish. The powder-coated parts are great and seem like they're not easy to scratch. I was disappointed though that some of the accompanying hardware like the CPU holder is painted rather than powder coated. The maple finish on the surfaces is nice, but the molding on the edge seems like it's just a little too wide for the thickness of the particle board. So if you lay your hand or wrist or arm on the edge, you can feel the molding protruding slightly from the edge and digging into your skin. The molding could also be more even, and better bonded to the edge. As it is, I can see a dark line along most of where the molding is supposed to meet the particle board and veneer. I think it would be great if you offered solid wood surfaces with beveled edges and rounded corners. I'm not sure what your market looks like, but I probably would've paid $50-$100 more for hardwood surfaces. Though I suppose I wouldn't have though I needed hardwood if the molding issue was fixed. I'd like to see a wooden platform that could mount on top of the side and back bottom supports. It would need a cutout to fit around the upright. Think 12" wide by 24" deep by 1" thick. This way I'd have a very stable platform mounted to the inside of the frame under the desk. I'd put my tower PC on the left-side platform and my sub-woofer on the right side platform. If I so chose, I could place some kind of strap around the PC and the adjacent upright if I was concerned about the stability. The CPU holder, to be blunt, is junk. I know you sell a better one, but the problem with both CPU holders is that you have to take the PC out of the holder to open the door and get inside the computer case. I go into my computer too often for that. I'd much rather have the platform that I described earlier. You already sell the 12"x24" utility shelf. I think it would be very easy to take that shelf, minus the hardware of course, make a 2-1/4" or 2-1/2" cut-out so that it could fit around the upright, and have it be able to be screwed to the box-steel on the back and side of the base just like how the desk surface is mounted. I'd also like to see a cable-tray option to mount underneath the desk surface in the back. I ended up using 2 of these: http://www.overstock.com/Office-Supplies/Balt-Cable-Management-Tray/3184530/product.html?cid=95138&fp=f It's not perfect, and I'm sure you could come up with an even better design, but it gets the job done. On the whole I love the desk. So to sum up the areas I see for improvement: Make sure molding is flush and fully bonded around the entire surface. Offer a more PC-management friendly CPU holder. I'm partial to the platform idea I described, but there are certainly other ways to do it. Powder coat all metal hardware. Provide a cable management tray/trough at least as an option. Give some thought to additional add-ons besides the speaker stands and the printer/utility platforms. The design is just begging for more cool things that can be bolted on to the frame that you could sell to your customers. Thanks and I wish VersaTables continued success.

4 Love the product

Love the product. One problem I had with installation was that some of the bolts for the monitor mounts are too short, making it difficult to mount the bracket. If they were at least 1/4 inch longer it would be easier.
